Boost your energy with water.

Practical steps to better health. Boost your energy with water!

When your energy starts flagging throughout the day, don't be tempted to grab that extra cup of coffee or sugary snack. Drink water to help boost your energy throughout the day.

Hydration has a major effect on energy levels and brain function. Studies have shown that even mild dehydration can impair many aspects of brain function. Water accounts for up to 70% of our body weight. Every single one of our organs and bodily functions requires water to function properly. Dehydration, can cause various body functions to slow down, leaving you feeling sluggish, tired, and irritable.

To avoid dehydration don't wait until you're thirsty before consuming water or other fluids. Many experts maintain that if you hold off drinking water until you're thirsty, there's a good chance that you're already dehydrated. If you're in need of a quick energy boost, try drinking a glass or two of water.

  2. Routine: Incorporate it into your daily routine at the same time each day. First thing in the morning you drink a glass of water before you eat breakfast.
